I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with more than 20 years of experience supporting teens and adults through a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and life challenges. I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Rhode Island College and have worked in outpatient, residential, school, and substance use settings. I’m licensed in both Rhode Island and Connecticut and bring a broad range of clinical and real-world experience to my work with clients.
I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD and other forms of neurodivergence, mood disorders, trauma, substance use concerns, executive functioning challenges, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. I work especially well with clients who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or misunderstood, helping them make sense of what they’re experiencing and find practical ways to move forward.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, strength-based, and nonjudgmental. I believe therapy should be a place where you can show up as you are without feeling pressure to have the right words or answers. I combine supportive conversation with practical tools and evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), solution-focused and insight-based approaches, as well as Emotion Regulation Therapy (ERT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I’m also currently training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
I work at your pace while helping you better understand your experiences, recognize patterns, develop effective coping strategies, and build greater confidence and resilience. My goal is to help you feel more grounded and capable of navigating the challenges in front of you.
In addition to my clinical work, I have extensive experience as a school social worker. I received the 2025 Crystal Apple Award in recognition of my work in the school setting. This experience has given me additional perspective when working with teens and families navigating school-related challenges, including 504 Plans, IEPs, and the broader school system.
I believe meaningful change often begins with small steps. My goal is to create a safe and trusting environment where you feel heard, respected, and supported as you work toward feeling more like yourself again.
